Brendan Nicting - VARSITY ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Nichting returns for his second season as a varsity assistant coach and will continue to serve in multiple roles with the team. Coach Nichting is a 2013 alum and helped lead the Tigers to consecutive final four appearances while wearing the black and gold. After high school, Coach Nichting spent a year playing for the St. Louis Frontenacs and then went on to continue his playing career for Lindenwood University's DII team. At Lindenwood, coach Nichting played for multiple national tournament teams, including the programs only final four appearances in 2015.
Coach Nichting earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in management, from Lindenwood University.

Mick O'Halloran - B TEAM HEAD COACH
Coach O’Halloran enters his 19th season with Oakville, where he continues to serve as the Head Coach for the developmental team. The St. Louis native started his coaching career back in 1987 when he returned home from his stint with the United States Marine Corps and Navy. Since 1987, he has coached youth hockey with the Affton Americans, Meramec Sharks and the Bismarck, North Dakota Youth Hockey Association.
In his spare time, Coach Mick and his wife Lisa (a former Oakville Hockey Cheerleader), enjoys scuba diving, swimming, hiking, snowshoeing, downhill as well as cross-country skiing. He has been a resident of Oakville since 1994 and loves his adopted hometown.
Coach O’Halloran has a Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication from the University of Central Missouri (formerly Central Missouri State University) in Warrensburg, MO.
Zac Schmidt - B TEAM ASSISTANT COACH
Coach Zac Schmidt is a 2010 Oakville graduate and Varsity Tiger Hockey Alumni. Upon graduation from OHS, Coach Schmidt attended Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. Coach Schmidt earned a roster spot and competed for the Ice Bears Hockey team throughout his college years. Coach Schmidt graduated with Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Criminology on May 2014, and a Masters degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice in May of 2016.
Coach Schmidt began his coaching career in 2012 by coaching a learn to play hockey class in Springfield, MO for young kids brand new to hockey. Along with this class, he was also the assistant coach for the Springfield Varsity High School hockey team for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons. Coach Schmidt also was the assistant coach for the Missouri State DIII Ice Hockey team for the 2016-17 season before moving to St Louis.
In August of 2017 Coach Schmidt accepted a position as a Police Officer with the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. Coach Schmidt enjoys traveling abroad, playing all sports, and he tries to be at the Lake of the Ozarks as much as possible with his girlfriend, friends, and family.
